Round 40 per cent of Indians surveyed have been defrauded when purchasing on-line throughout festive season, finds a research.

The research was carried out by The Harris Ballot on behalf of Norton, a worldwide chief in Cyber security, which launched the Indian findings that explored attitudes towards cyber safety and on-line purchasing in the course of the festive season.

In line with the findings, two-third of Indian adults surveyed had been involved about their private particulars being compromised (78 per cent), being defrauded by a third-party retailer (77 per cent), shopping for or receiving a refurbished gadget as a present (72 per cent), and a tool they obtain as a present being hacked (69 per cent).
