BIS indicators MoUs with six engineering establishments to incorporate Indian requirements in curriculum – Occasions of India


New Delhi: The Bureau of Indian Requirements (BIS) has tied up with six engineering establishments for introduction of Indian requirements as a part of their curriculum. This initiative is in direction of institutionalizing engagement of BIS with the eminent institutes for securing lively participation of academia, an official assertion stated.
BIS has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Know-how BHU, Malaviya Nationwide Institute of Know-how Jaipur, Indian Institute of Know-how Indore, Indian Institute of Know-how Patna, Indian Institute of Know-how Madras and Nationwide Institute of Know-how Trichy for institution of ‘BIS Standardization Chair Professor‘ at these institutes.
The institution will promote excellence and management in instructing and analysis & growth within the area of Science and numerous disciplines within the respective institutes.
Pramod Kumar Tiwari, Director Common, BIS, stated the MoUs would strengthen and improve the requirements formulation exercise by facilitating analysis & growth (R&D) initiatives, encouraging involvement of younger minds within the space of standardization course of and collectively organizing seminars, conferences, workshops symposia or lectures, coaching and short-term teaching programs.
He emphasised on the necessity to interact with start-ups and incubation centres at tutorial establishments in formulation of recent requirements and compliance with the prevailing.
