A international Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant was killed in an encounter with safety forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, police stated.

The militant has been recognized as Kamran Bhai alias Hanees, they stated.

An encounter broke out between militants and safety forces within the Kapren space of Shopian district within the early hours of Friday, a police official stated.

“One FT of JeM #terror outfit killed, recognized as Kamran Bhai @Hanees who was lively in #Kulgam-#Shopian space. Search remains to be occurring,” ADGP, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar tweeted.
