MUSSOORIE: The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) on Thursday sealed 40 under-construction flats resulting from “unauthorised building” by the Mussoorie Municipal Council (MMC) at Masonic Lodge bus stand.
Chatting with TOI, assistant engineer of MDDA, Abhishek Bhardwaj, stated that the matter was being heard by the excessive court docket and by joint secretary of MDDA, Nandan Kumar.
“At this time on the listening to on this matter, joint secretary handed sealing orders following which MDDA and administration together with police sealed 40 flats at Masonic Lodge,” Bhardwaj stated.
In the meantime, Anuj Gupta, chairman of MMC, stated that these flats had been being constructed for economically weaker sections and the matter was already in excessive court docket, so the sealing motion was insignificant.
“This matter is already being heard within the excessive court docket and the court docket has already ordered that these flats should not be allotted.
