Late-night star Jimmy Kimmel can be returning because the host of the Oscars for the third time, Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, the chief producers and showrunners behind the the Academy Awards introduced Monday. Kimmel, who hosted the 2017 and 2018 ceremonies, would be the solo host of the ninety fifth Oscars on March 12.

“Being invited to host the Oscars for a 3rd time is both a fantastic honor or a entice. Both method, I’m grateful to the Academy for asking me so rapidly after everybody good stated no,” Jimmy Kimmel stated in a press release.

Previous to the Jimmy Kimmel Reside star, Jerry Lewis, Steve Martin, Conrad Nagel and David Niven have hosted the Oscar ceremony thrice.

“We’re tremendous thrilled to have Jimmy rating his hat trick on this international stage. We all know he can be humorous and prepared for something,” Weiss and Kirshner stated in a joint assertion.

The announcement comes days after Kimmel prolonged his deal to proceed at ABC for no less than three extra years, by means of the twenty third season of Jimmy Kimmel Reside.

Nominations for the ninety fifth Academy Awards can be introduced on January 24.
