The Gurugram cyber police has arrested seven thugs, together with a minor, through the use of the ‘Pratibimb’ portal. ‘Pratibimb’ permits police to find cybercriminals working of their space. The accused had dedicated frauds of Rs 16 crore throughout the nation and Rs 4.20 lakh in money, 4 cellphones and two SIM playing cards had been seized from their possession, the police stated.

A complete of 4,875 complaints had been acquired towards the accused on which 215 circumstances had been registered throughout the nation, out which 13 circumstances had been registered in Haryana, together with seven circumstances on the cyber police stations in Gurugram, they added. In accordance with the police, the arrested accused had been recognized as Sahil Sondhi, a local of Preet Nagar in Jalandhar (Punjab), Praveen Kumar, a resident of the Chamar Khera village within the Sirsa district, Sushil Kumar, a local of Patna, Vakeel, a resident of Alwar (Rajasthan), Govind Vaishav, a local of Shahpura (Rajasthan), Sandeep, a resident of Maruti Kunj in Gurugram and a minor, the police stated.

The accused used to commit fraud by making cellphone calls, participating in conversations and transferring cash on-line after blackmailing by way of video calls, they added. “After reviewing the info of the cellphones and SIM playing cards recovered from the accused by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), it was discovered that 4,875 complaints have been registered towards the above accused in reference to frauds of Rs 15.74 crore throughout the nation,” stated Priyanshu Dewan, ACP cyber.
