The Gurugram cyber police has arrested seven thugs, together with a minor, through the use of the ‘Pratibimb’ portal. ‘Pratibimb’ permits police to find cybercriminals working of their space. The accused used to commit fraud by making cellphone calls, participating in conversations and transferring cash on-line after blackmailing by way of video calls, they added. “After reviewing the info of the cellphones and SIM playing cards recovered from the accused by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), it was discovered that 4,875 complaints have been registered towards the above accused in reference to frauds of Rs 15.74 crore throughout the nation,” stated Priyanshu Dewan, ACP cyber.
